Why an Operafolks Website ?

After years of surfing the net and viewing homepages it seemed to me that Australian and New Zealand singers were sadly behind their international Colleagues in terms of a web presence.

As there are many fine Australasian Singers, Directors, Conductors I felt that someone should give them the opportunity to share their talent with the rest of the Internet community, hence the idea for Operafolks.

How does it work?

Operafolks is expanding and will become an online resource for Australasian performing artists, including ex-patriots.

We are currently interviewing Opera singers, directors and conductors to showcase their talent and knowledge.

A discussion board has been developed for you to post questions to the general community, or to share what's on your mind.

Operfolks is also pleased to be able to offer yet another free service. A community calendar has been developed where you may add upcoming performances or events for all to see. Please feel free to take advantage of this service.
